Purpose of use:
Capadur TwinProof is a transparent wood stain for UV and moisture protection of dimensionally stable wooden components (such as windows and doors), for limited dimensionally stable wooden components (such as tongue and groove cladding, shutters, gates, etc.) and on non-dimensionally stable wooden components (such as board facades, balcony railings, fences, etc.).

Capadur TwinProof is best used on light-colored softwoods (such as pine, spruce, or fir). A test area should be prepared on dark woods (see color tones, note).

Capadur TwinProof is equipped with a film preservative to protect the coating surface from fungal growth. This film preservative delays the onset of fungal infestation.
Depending on the biological load, re-infestation must be expected on extremely vulnerable wooden building components (such as flat roof soffits and panel-shaped wood materials, e.g., maritime pine panels) even before the usual warranty periods have expired.
Not suitable for wood with permanent contact with soil and water.

Due to its protective coating, Capadur TwinProof may only be used outdoors. The inside surfaces of windows and exterior doors are considered part of the exterior and may be coated with Capadur TwinProof on all sides.
