FAKOLITH FK 44-POX – Aqueous 2-component epoxy resin rust protection primer and adhesion promoter

Intended Use: FAKOLITH FK 44-POX is a two-component epoxy resin rust-preventive primer for iron, steel, stainless steel, and galvanized metals. FAKOLITH FK 44-POX is also an excellent adhesion promoter on previously coated metals and powder-coated substrates (after testing). This two-component primer is particularly recommended for subsequent coating with the FAKOLITH system products FK 45 FOODGRADE (a certified FOODGRADE system product), DISPERLITH FOODGRADE, and DISPERLITH ELASTIC.

Material base: - Aqueous 2K epoxy resin primer, with zinc phosphate and organic anti-corrosion agents

Product features / properties: - Water-based, low VOC - Rust protection - Adhesion promoter - Tested in conjunction with FK 45 FOODGRADE as a primer for tank coatings according to Regulation (EU) 10/2011 - Low odor - Fast drying - For substrates made of iron, steel, stainless steel, aluminum, galvanized substrates, with and without existing coatings

Application: - Application from +4°C - Water-based - Brush, roller or airless spray application - Drying time between 1st and 2nd coat of FAKOLITH FK 44-POX approx. 30 min. Fully dry and recoatable after approx. 8-12 hours (20°C/60% relative humidity) - Can be recoated with standard coatings - Pot life approx. 2 hours - Consumption: 125-250 ml/m²
