FAKOLITH FK 16 – Aqueous primer and insulation

Intended use: FAKOLITH FK 16 acts as both a primer and a sealant, depending on the dilution with water. When diluted 1:2 to 1:5 with water, FAKOLITH FK 16 strengthens mineral and organic substrates and evens out the surface. Applied neat, FAKOLITH FK 16 seals off light to moderate discoloration caused by smoke, grease, sugar, and nicotine.

Application: - Application from +10°C - Water-based - Brush, roller or airless spray application - Can be recoated with standard coatings - Recommendation: Remain within the system. Topcoat with FAKOLITH anti-mold paints or hygienic coatings - Consumption: Primer: 17-33 ml/m², Insulation: approx. 100-150 ml/m² - Clean tools immediately after use with water

Stir (shake) the material well before use. When wallpapering over surfaces insulated with FAKOLITH FK 16, use only low-water special adhesive or apply a coat of paint. For recoating FAKOLITH FK 16 Primer and FAKOLITH FK 16 Insulation, dispersion paints or solvent-based paints, such as FK 5, FK 10, DISPERLITH paints, or FAKOLITH FK 3000, are recommended. Application is also possible without problems in rooms without explosion-proof installations, with insufficient ventilation, or where food and beverages are produced or stored.
