FAKOPUR FOODGRADE – 2K polyurethane coating, certified according to Regulation (EU) 1935/2004, Regulation (EU) 10/2011 for direct contact with food

Intended Use: FAKOPUR FOODGRADE is a chemical-resistant, two-component polyurethane coating for interior and exterior surfaces in direct contact with food. FAKOPUR FOODGRADE is certified according to Regulations (EC) 1935/2004, (EU) 10/2011, (EU) 1282/2011, (EU) 2016/1416, (EC) 2023/2006, (EU) 2017/752, and (EU) 2018/213 for direct contact with all foodstuffs. The two-component coating seals the surface and is characterized by a short drying time, a very uniform color film, and high chemical and cleaning resistance.

The 2K-PU coating is particularly recommended for coating basins, containers, silos with mineral surfaces in the food production industry, agriculture and farming.

FAKOPUR FOODGRADE has a silky-gloss finish, contains aliphatic diisocyanates as a hardener and is proven to be free of APEO, ammonia, bisphenol-A, formaldehyde and heavy metals.

The GREEN-BIO.FILM.STOP technology protects the surface of FAKOPUR FOODGRADE from viral and bacterial contamination.

Areas of application: FAKOPUR FOODGRADE is particularly recommended for coating mineral surfaces (e.g. basins or containers in which fruit, potatoes, beets, grapes are stored) that come into direct contact with food in the short or long term.

The 2K polyurethane coating offers a suitable alternative on mineral substrates to the 2K epoxy resin coatings FK 45 FOODGRADE and FK 100 FOODGRADE, which are not suitable for outdoor use.
