Sika® Sikafloor® CureHard-24 - 25 kg transparent
Details for Sikafloor® CureHard-24 - 25 kg transparent:
Transparent surface hardener, dust binder and curing agent for concrete
Sikafloor® CureHard-24 is a one-component, water-based, concrete-curing, transparent liquid based on sodium silicate. It improves the mechanical properties of concrete in new or existing structures.
Application:
- Fresh or hardened horizontal concrete surfaces and screed without subsequent coating on an inorganic basis (e.g. mortar, cement-based adhesives, plaster)
- Post-treatment and surface hardener
- Dust binding
- Suitable for indoor and outdoor applications on concrete surfaces and screed with light to medium abrasion resistance
Advantages:
- Ready to use
- Easy application
- Improved abrasion resistance compared to untreated concrete
- Reduces dust formation on concrete floors
- Reduced water loss from fresh concrete during the setting process
- Improved cleaning ability
- No yellowing
- High penetration depth
- Solvent-free
- Color and odor neutral
Sikafloor® CureHard-24 densifies concrete and hard aggregate screeds by extending the calcium silicate reaction of the cement in the top 3-5 mm. Calcium silicate hydrate crystallizes in the strength-reducing pores of the concrete, significantly increasing its strength and density. This densification process utilizes phases inherent to the concrete and is not a foreign coating. Therefore, the concrete's inherent properties and slip resistance remain unaffected. Unlike impregnations, sealants, and coatings, which wear down over time and are also sensitive to moisture, the densification effect of Sikafloor® CureHard-24 actually increases over time due to water and mechanical stress, resulting in a natural self-regeneration. Sikafloor® CureHard-24 thus creates an irreversible hardening process. The surface strength increases considerably compared to untreated concrete.
