SikaCor® EG-1 Plus is a two-component, economical, micaceous iron oxide-containing intermediate coating based on epoxy resin. Low in solvents according to the German Paint and Coatings Association's guideline for corrosion protection coatings (VdL-RL 04).

Application:
SikaCor® EG-1 Plus is used as a mechanically resistant primer, intermediate, and topcoat for atmospherically exposed surfaces made of steel, hot-dip galvanized steel, stainless steel, or aluminum. On thermal spray galvanizing, it can be used as a sealant to close pores and also as a subsequent intermediate coat. In combination with two-component primers and topcoats, SikaCor® EG-1 Plus forms a mechanically resistant, water- and chemical-resistant coating system for long-lasting corrosion protection up to C5 very high according to DIN EN ISO 12944-2.
